The management of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, has released the academic calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session.
NDU Academic Calendar
The Committee of Provost and Deans (CPD) at its 151st Meeting held on Wednesday December 21, 2022 amongst other deliberations decided as follows:
- The CPD appreciates the Bayelsa State Government for the completion of the remedial work on the failed portions of the Tombia/Amassoma
Road leading to the University. The effort of the Government has facilitated the full resumption of academic activities following the disruption by the recent devastating floods. - Following the resumption of full academic activities, the 2021/2022 academic calendar has been revised thus:
FIRST SEMESTER FOR 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION
- Lectures continue – Tuesday, January 3, 2023
- Lectures End – Friday, February 3, 2023
- Faculty of Education and GST First Semester Examination Begins – Monday, 6 February 2023
- Other Faculties First Semester Examination Begins – Monday, 13 February 2023
- First Semester Examination Ends – Wednesday, February 22, 2023
SECOND SEMESTER FOR 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION
- Lectures Begin › Wednesday, March 1, 2023
- Lectures End › Friday, June 2, 2023
- Faculty of Education and GST Second Semester Examination Begins › Monday, June 5, 2023
- Other Faculties Second Semester Examination Begins › Monday June 12, 2023
- Second Semester Examination and Project Defence Ends › Friday, June 30, 2023
