The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN) has dissociated itself from a letter being circulated in the social media platforms demanding students to obtain “new and improved smartphones”.
A statement by the Spokesman for MAAUN, Kano, Tukur Muntari Masanawa issued on Saturday, urged students to disregard the letter as it did not come from the management of the University.
The attention of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN) has been drawn to a letter purportedly issued by the office of the Registrar, MAAUN Niger signed by one Abubakar Adamu, Faculty Officer demanding students to have a new and improved smartphones and wishes to state that the letter was fake.
The school, therefore, urged students especially those studying Computer Science to ignore the letter which was dated 22/07/2022 with Reference No. MAAUN/CY/1098.
It also advised students to always verify such information in order to ascertain its authenticity.
