The Osun State Police Command has arrested two persons connected to the murder of a 500-level Engineering student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Okoli Ahize Chizoputam.

Confirming the arrest, the police command spokesperson, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola in a statement issued on Wednesday, April 12, expressed sadness on the development and said a discreet investigation is ongoing on the case and more arrests will be made in the coming days.
Following the student’s death, students of the institution staged a peaceful protest around the school premises to condemn the mob action. They barricaded major roads that led to the campus and sang sorrowful songs to mourn Okoli.
