In addition to the days that may be declared as public holiday by the Federal Government as Public Holiday to mark the commemoration of the Muslim Festival of Id-el-Kabir, the Management at an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, July 4, 2022 decided that Friday, July 8, 2022 be observed as Public Holiday by the staff and students of the University to enable them travel in preparation for the Id-el Kabir festival.
Therefore, the University will not be opened to the public for normal business on the day. However, all officers on essential services who will be required to be on duty during the period will be duly informed in the usual manner.
On behalf of the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. M. O. Liasu, I wish you happy celebrations.
