A 17-year-old Senior Secondary School 3 student of St. Monica Girls Secondary School, Otukpo, Local Government Area of Benue State has been killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Friday, June 10.
The deceased identified as Charity Eze was said to have been shot on her forehead at about 10:30 pm on the day of the incident at her father’s residence on No. 38 Idikwu Road.
It was gathered that Charity went outside to remove her clothes where she hung them to dry when the gunmen who scaled the fence shot her. Charity’s younger sister, Rosemary who witnessed the incident ran back into the house to inform their father.
The assailants were said to have left the house after killing the victim.
The deceased was writing the ongoing West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination and was expected to write her last paper on Tuesday, 14th June 2022.
