Some Osun State Polytechnic Iree, students have been hailed for designing a voter’s registration machine for data capturing as part of their final year project material
The institution’s rector, Dr. Woye Olaniran, disclosed this during a press briefing commencing the combined 7th convocation ceremony of the polytechnic held in Osogbo on Tuesday, May 24.
According to Olaniran, the data capturing machine was part of many inventions by students and lecturers of the institution that would be exhibited as part of the activities for the convocation. He explained that the machine could detect multiple registrations.
When tested using his data, it revealed that he had previously registered.
