The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones has revealed that there are currently 20 illegal tertiary institutions operating in the Ankpa community of the state.
The Commissioner made the disclosure while monitoring the accreditation exercise of the Glory Land Institution of Management Studies, Ankpa by the National Board for Technical Education.
According to Jones, the government will shut down illegal institutions that do not possess the required operating certification. He warned operators of the illegal and substandard schools in the State to do the needful to avoid being shut down.
