The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has directed all staff and students of the institution to resume on Thursday, May 26, 2022, for the commencement of in-class activities.
The resumption notice was contained in a statement signed by the institution’s Registrar, Kayode Ogunleye, saying it is for the continuation of the academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session.
This comes barely 48-hours after members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) LAUTECH chapter, one Wednesday, May 18, vowed not to withdraw from the strike until the demands of the union have been met.
The institution, while calling the staff and the students to resume, added that the amended academic calendar for the semester will soon be made available. Ogunleye further enjoined the staff and students to abide by this directive.
