The Head of Department, History and International Relations of Veritas University, Abuja, Dr. John Adole, who was kidnapped in Benue State, has regained his freedom.
Dr. Adole was abducted by gunmen in Otukpo, Otukpo Local Government Area on Sunday, May 1.
Three other persons, including a professor from the Benue State University, Makurdi, were said to have escaped from the attack when the kidnappers struck.
The university’s spokesperson, Evelyn Obekpa, who confirmed the development on Tuesday, May 3, said the lecturer escaped from his abductors on Monday, May 2.
