The distraught family of 22-year-old Rabiat Yetunde Garba is seeking help in establishing her whereabouts following her disappearance in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The student of the Department of Chemistry and Integrated Science at the College of Education, Ilorin, was last seen on Thursday, March 17, when she left her residence at Adabata, Ilorin, for school. She was said to have gotten to the lecture hall, but upon realizing that she forgot her assignment at home, she dropped her bag with her friends and rushed home to get the assignment.
According to Rabiat’s father, Abdullahi Garbais, she is believed to have gone missing on her way home to get the assignment, and all efforts to locate her have been futile.
He explained that the students usually go to school from home and would return around 5 pm, but on the said day, they waited till 9 pm and didn’t hear from her, then it occurred to them that something may have happened to her.
The aggrieved father said the matter had been reported at the Surulere Police Station.
