The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), staged a peaceful protest against the ongoing strike embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday, February, 28.
This comes after the one week ultimatum given to the federal government by the association to resolve the lingering crisis it has with ASUU or face a nationwide protest elapsed.
The association had promised to block major federal roads, as well as the road leading to the office of the minister of education, amongst others.
NANS president, Sunday Asefon and other students were seen at the unity fountain, Abuja, carrying placards with various inscriptions to air their grievances.
The protest also held in other states including, Koffar Nasarawa, Jos plateau state, Kano state, Ekiti state, Oyo state, Taraba state, Niger state, amongst others.
