The joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has adopted an additional USSD code (66019) besides the 55019, which the Board has used exclusively since 2018 for its UTME/Direct Entry registration and examination exercises.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has added the 66019 USSD code to the 55019 code that has been in use since 2018 for UTME/DE registration and other core services provided by the Board.
This aims to promote a smooth UTME/DE registration process by guaranteeing that candidates have no difficulty creating profiles, especially in a situation where several of them would previously transmit their requests using a single USSD code.
In essence, the 55019 and 66019 are to be utilised to develop profiles for applicants taking the UTME/DE. As is customary, candidates must send their National Identification Number (NIN) to any of these USSD codes in order for their information to be fetched from the NIMC database before proceeding to any certified centre for biometric capture.
It would be recalled that the Board had previously indicated that, in its efforts to eliminate all bottlenecks associated with profile creation, it was perfecting arrangements aimed at adopting an additional USSD code (66019) in addition to the 55019, which the Board had exclusively used since 2018 for its UTME/Direct Entry registration and examination exercises.
