The Federal Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has disclosed that the federal government has approved the payment of N75,000 stipends to students studying education courses in Nigerian universities.
The minister made the disclosure today, October 5 at the World Teachers Day celebration held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
According to the minister, students undergoing degree programs in education in public universities across the country will receive N75, 000 stipends per semester, while NCE students will receive N50, 000 stipends per semester.
He added that the federal government will work out modalities to enable states to provide automatic employment for NCE graduates at the basic education level.
