Two male students of Okporo Secondary School in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state have been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt, over the alleged gang rape of a 14-year-old girl.
The accused students identified as Chukwudi Daniel and Confidence Gbarabe (aka pipeline) were arraigned in court on Thursday, November 18, on charges bordering on defilement and rape. The incident reportedly occurred on the 27th day of October 2021 at Okporo Secondary School in Port Harcourt.
The students, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, and their counsel, Chinedu Ndah, applied for their bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Rita Oguguo, asked that the two students be kept in a remand home in Port Harcourt, and the case adjourned till December 7 for ruling on bail application and hearing.
