The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command has arrested eight suspects in connection with the abduction of two professors, a non-academic staff of the University of Abuja, and three others from the institution’s staff quarters on Tuesday, November 2.
The staff were rescued unhurt from their abductors’ hideout located in Shenegwu Forest in the Gwagwalada area of the FCT on Friday, November 5.
According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the suspects were arrested following a joint operation conducted by personnel of the police, army, and the Department of State Services (DSS).
