The Optometrists Dispensing Opticianry Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN) has approved full accreditation for the Dispensing Optician Technicians programme of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (COHESTI)
In a statement by COHESTI Management, the approval was sequel to the accreditation conducted by ODORBN in August 2021, on the professional programme.
Meanwhile, the Health Officers Record Registration Board of Nigeria had in July, 2021 accredited Professional National Diploma (ND) Health Information Management Technology as well as the Technicians’ programme of the College’s Health Information Management Department.
Other programmes of the College that got full accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in May year 2021 include; National Diploma (ND) Environment Health Technology, ND Health information Management Technology and ND Computer Science.
It would be recalled that the Community Health Practitioners Board of Nigeria had since March 2021 granted full accreditation to the College’s Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) & Junior Community Heath Extension Workers (JCHEW) programmes.
The Provost of the College, Dr(Mrs) Cecilia Adebayo had at several fora hinted of her resolve to uplift academic standard in the Institution, while also pursuing vigorously the vision of transmuting the College to a Polytechnic.
