The management of the Lagos State University (LASU) has issued a notice to the general public on the alleged attack by hoodlums at the University’s main campus. The notice is as follows;
The General Public is hereby advised to disregard social media posts claiming that Lagos State University-Main Campus, Ojo, was attacked by hoodlums on Monday, 26th April, 2021. Images of the fracas being circulated are those from OUTSIDE the University Campus, along the Iyana Iba-Alaba axis.
For emphasis, neither was anyone attacked, nor any property destroyed WITHIN the University premises.
We, therefore, wish to state that the University Campus, Ojo, is safe and secure.
We urge our staff and students to go about their normal activities and continue to be vigilant even as normalcy has been returned to the affected area
Thank you
Signed
Ademola Adekoya
Coordinator, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations, LASU.
