The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), has disclosed that the institution will be offering nine new courses from the next academic session. The Acting Rector of the Institution, Dr Adeoye Odedeji, disclosed this while the executive members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), paid him a courtesy call, on Monday, in Abeokuta.
According to him, the additional courses would further make the Polytechnic maintain its giant strides in technological education and meet up with the 21st century ICT learning.
He said the development would be made possible with the N245million Centre for Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition donated by TETFUND to the school.
The acting rector hinted that the school would start awarding degree certificates for some of its Higher National Diploma (HND) courses from the next academic session, saying that the new courses have been accredited for its HND programmes.
The new programmes were Cyber Security; Software and Hardware Engineering, Epistemology and Disease Control Technology; Fisheries; Social Development; Library Science Technology and Environmental Biology.
According to him, the new HND courses such as Hospitality Management; Mechanical Engineering; Leisure and Tourism; Quantity Survey; Surveying and Geoinformatics would create a platform for their students who did their ND programmes with the school.
