The provost of the Zamfara College of Arts and Science, Habibu Mainasara, has been abducted by armed bandits in the early hours of Sunday, July 11. According to reports, the academia was abducted at his official residence within Government Science Secondary School, Bakura.
The Zamfara Police Public Relation Officer Mohammed Shehu who confirmed the abduction of the Provost said a school teacher of Government Science Secondary School Bakura was also kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday.
Shehu said police and other security operatives in the state had commenced intelligence operations to ensure the safe release of the victims.
