The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) resumption date after the Christmas and New Year holidays have been announced. See details below.
This is to inform the University of Uyo community that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday 26 and Tuesday 27, December, 2022 as public holidays to commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and boxing day respectively, as well as Monday January 2, 2023 as new-year day.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo has accordingly approved that the University be closed for business from Thursday 22 December 2022 to Monday January 2, 2023. No official duty or any academic engagement should therefore be scheduled on these days.
All staff on essential duties will however continue to perform their duties as scheduled. Heads of Departments concerned are expected to make alternative arrangements when it is convenient for such to staff to enjoy their holiday has indicated above
The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Management of the University wishes all staffs and stakeholders of the University of Uyo a merry Christmas and a prosperous New year
Normal work will resume on Tuesday January 3, 2023
