The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is now accepting applications for its prestigious M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering and Project Development programme for the 2023/2024 academic year. This international collaborative graduate programme, offered in partnership with IFP School in France, is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the dynamic oil and gas industry.
Programme Objectives:
The M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering and Project Development programme aims to provide students with:
- A broad understanding of traditional fossil fuel development
- The knowledge needed to explore the development of other energy sources for the African energy sector
- In-depth knowledge of project development techniques
Admission and Eligibility:
The programme is open to qualified candidates from Nigeria and the Sub-Saharan region of Africa. Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in any branch of Engineering. Company-sponsored personnel with a minimum of 5 years of relevant upstream petroleum experience may also be considered. IPS Postgraduate Diploma graduates who meet the admission and screening requirements are also eligible to apply.
