UMYU Post UTME Screening Form Information for 2022/2023

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina 2022/2023 Post UTME screening form for all admission-seeking candidates is now available as has been announced by the institution. All concerned aspirants and interested members of the public that wish to study in the institution are hereby notified and advised to procure their forms as soon as possible.

According to the school’s management and authorities, the process of registering candidates for 2022/2023 Post UTME Screening Exercise registration has commenced in the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina. The details of the registration, cut off mark have been released likewise.

UMYU Post UTME Screening Invitation 

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) wishes to invite candidates who applied for admission as first choice candidates into the university through the year 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) application; and who had either missed the first aptitude test/screening exercise or changed their first choice institution to UMYU, to register for aptitude test/screening via the Post UTME Portal. 

Please note that only candidates listed on the mentioned website are to register. In addition, DE candidates are not to appear for aptitude test but would be screened online.

The online registration will commence on Tuesday, 4th April 2023.

Eligible candidates are to upload the following documents on the University’s website from Tuesday, 4th April 2023

• JAMB Result Slip of the year 2022 for UTME candidates or JAMB Registration Slip of the year 2022 in the case of DE candidates;
• O’ Level Result(s);
• Form of identification (Indigene Letter/National Identification Card/International Passport etc);
• Direct Entry (DE) Candidates are to upload their ‘A’ Level Result (Diploma, IJMB, NCE etc).

UMYU Post-UTME Screening Eligibility:

To be eligible for the aptitude test/screening, a candidate must have:

1. Scored a minimum of 150 marks or above in the 2022 UTME examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB);
2. Obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at O’ level (including English and Mathematics);
3. Sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2021 JAMB examination;
4. In addition to obtaining the minimum five (5) O’ level relevant credits (including English and Mathematics), Direct Entry (DE) candidates shall obtain the minimum ‘A’ Level points for the programme they applied.

Mode of Payment:

Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000.00 (all charges inclusive) for the screening and aptitude test through the payment options provided on the University’s website: www.umyu.edu.ng

UTME Candidates are to come along with the payment slip for the aptitude test and would be required to submit hard copies of their credentials at the venue of the test.

Please note that all visually impaired candidates are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test, but are requested to forward hard copies of their credentials to the office of the Registrar.

Aptitude Test and Submission of Credentials:

UTME candidates must bring their payment slips to the aptitude test and submit hard copies of their credentials at the venue. The date of the aptitude test will be indicated on the registration slip.

Direct Entry candidates are required to forward hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s office after the online registration.

Visually impaired candidates are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test but must forward hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s office.

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), formerly Katsina State University was established by the Katsina State Government out of the desire to improve access to higher education for its citizenry.

The law establishing the Katsina State University was passed by the Katsina State House of Assembly on 5th September 2006.  The University commenced academic activities in January 2007 with three faculties (Education, Humanities & Natural and Applied Sciences), and 16 undergraduate programmes.
