Student Work Study Scheme was inaugurated in 2012 in order to engage students in jobs that can fetch them tokens to complement whatever they get from parents/guardians.
The following services can be rendered by students registered under the scheme:
1. Research Assistantship
2. Library Assistantship
3. Lesson Teacher (All subjects and courses)
4. Computer Operator/Analyst
5. Ushering
6. Servers at occasions
7. Sales Representatives/Marketers
8. Catering
9. Day security
10. Master of Ceremony and Light Entertainment during occasions
11. Event Planning and Organisation
12. Sewing and fashion designing
13. Receptionist
14. Gardening
15. Car washing
16. Musical Instrument Training (e.g. keyboard, etc)
17. Broadcasting
18. House cleaning
19. Laundry services
20. Any other work (on request)
Interested community members, units, centres, institutes, departments, faculties and colleges in need of their services in any of the above-mentioned areas of job should please contact the office of the Student Work Study Scheme, Room 7, Student Affairs Division, Registry Department, University of Ibadan or call any of the following phone contacts for more enquiries: 08113541359, 08033917443, 08023841734 and 08150744904.
The registration for 2021/2022 session is ongoing. Interested students must possess the following qualifications:
1. Interested student must be in 200 level and above.
2. He/she must have a CGPA of 2.0 and above.
3. He/she must be sound in health and ready to work.
4. He/she must be honest and of good character.
Interested and qualified students should complete this online form (https://bit.ly/WORKANDSTUDYSCHEME) for their registration. This form should be completed once, with no duplication and students should not help friends to complete theirs as it will attract disqualification of both.
