The Senate at its emergency meeting held on Friday, 17 February, 2023 deliberated extensively on the directive of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to close down all Universities for the General Elections Senate noted the directive and approved that non-virtual academic activities in the University be suspended and students vacate the halls of residence with effect from Wednesday, 22
February 2023 and retum to campus on Tuesday, 14 March 2023.
Students of Ambrose Alli University will, during the period, receive lectures from their homes through the Learning Management System (LMS). By this, all academic staff are directed to compulsorily key into the use of LMS to teach their courses to ensure there is no vacuum in teaching and leaming during the period under reference. It should be emphasised that only students who have paid their school fees in full will have access to the LMS, and Continuous Assessment (CA) tests shall take place on the LMS during the election break.
The purpose of the foregoing is to inform all concerned of Senate’s decisions to be guided accordingly
