The attention of the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Professor Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin, and the Ambrose Alli University Fraud Alert Unit have been drawn to the activities of a scammer/con artist who is parading himself as the “Vice-Chancellor” of AAU with the picture of the AVC on a WhatsApp number :+234 701 587 7075 which has been fraudulently registered with the AVC’s name on True Caller and as “ VC AAU” in a LinkedIn profile with the same photo.
The Fraud Alert Unit advises everyone to, please, disregard any message or messages of claims of job offers in Ambrose Alli University for the payment of any amount of money or to the tune of #250,000 which is being demanded by the scammer.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor WILL NEVER descend so low or be morally bankrupt as to make such request for money for jobs from unsuspecting members of the general public.
Please feel free to report the number and profile on WhatsApp and LinkedIn as “Spam” and be guided so as not to fall prey to the activities of this fellow.
The security agencies have been notified of the fraudulent activities of this scammer and are closing in on him.
Thank you.
