A Benue State University (BSU) graduate who was kidnapped on his way to an orientation camp, has reportedly regained freedom. The prospective corps member identified as Yiye Terlumun Madidi, was one of the victims kidnapped by gunmen on October 20.
According to BSU Media House, Yiye regained his freedom on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He managed to escape the kidnappers’ hideout and found his way to a police station.
A former coursemate of Yeye also took to Facebook to share the good news.
Yiye Terlumun Madidi, a graduate of the Department of Political Science, Benue State University, Makurdi, was kidnapped alongside a Iorliam Jennifer Awashima, a graduate of Benue State University, Department Of English, and a 200 Level student of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, by suspected bandits in Zamfara State on October 20, 2021, while they were on transit.
