ABSU post-UTME Screening registration: This is to inform all the Candidates seeking Admission into Abia State University (ABSU) Degree Programmes that the Post UTME Screening Exercise Application form for the 2022/2023 Academic Session is on sale online.
ABSU Post UTME / Admission Screening Exercise Announcement
ABSU Post-UTME Registration cut-off mark, cost, screening dates, eligibility and registration details for the 2022/2023 Academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 140. Cost is N2,000.
All candidates who selected Abia State University as their First or Second choice,those who intend to change to ABSU as their First choice and those who did not use ABSU as their choice at all but want to be admitted into the University, who scored up to the University cut-off of 140 and above in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), are hereby invited to register for Aptitude Test exercise. All Direct Entry candidates are also invited for the Aptitude Test.
Eligibility:
*Candidates Qualified for the Screening Exercise*
1. Candidates who chose Abia State University as their 1st Choice, 2nd Choice and those who did not choose the University at all in the UTME, but want to change to Abia State University.
2. Candidates who scored 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
3. Candidates who possess the basic five o’level credit passes, in accordance with the University entry requirements.
4. All Direct Entry candidates.
How to Apply for ABSU Post UTME / Admission Screening
(a) Candidates are expected to register for the screening exercise online by logging into https://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/Applicant/Form/PostJambFormInvoiceGeneration and making e-payment of two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, in any of the following Banks
• ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu
• Eco Bank Plc
• Zenith Bank Plc
• Fidelity Bank Plc
• Union Bank Plc
• UBA Plc
Payment via bank debit cards
(b) Candidates who do not register for the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
(c) Further details about the screening exercise can be obtained online at www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng.

About ABSU
Abia State University is one of the state owned universities in Nigeria. These state academic institutions were created to expand admissions and bring professional skills, expertise and modern research facilities close to the city and rural dwellers, and have helped talented students to obtain higher education.
The inception of the university was in 1981 in the former Imo State under the name of Imo State University, Uturu, Okigwe. The university was established by Sam Mbakwe when he was Governor of old Imo State.
Following the creation of Abia State in 1991, the Uturu campus of the University was ceded to Abia State, and is now known as Abia State University Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area, Abia State, Nigeria. The university is organized in colleges and schools having been founded on the same collegiate system operated by University of Nebraska.
Abia State University offers undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees. It has two campuses, its main campus in Uturu, and the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine housed by the campus in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
