The management of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo state has allegedly ordered students of the institution to vacate the school premises in an apparent punitive measure for staging a protest.
The students had protested against the unavailability of power supply and water in the school for over a week, despite paying exorbitant amounts as fees.
According to a source, the university management gave the vacation order through a notice that was pasted at strategic points in the school on Wednesday, August 18. Most of the students said they were stranded and had nowhere to go as the order came as a shock to them.
They also accused the university of hiring the services of Police officers who teargassed any student found around the school compound.
