Ajayi Crowther University, ACU has been given full accreditation in all its programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to some postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, as contained in a letter dated August 2nd, 2021, and forwarded to the University by Dr. Maryam Sali, NUC Director of Accreditation.
The Commission stated that the approval of the courses followed its three-day visit to the University April 2021 to undertake a resource accreditation visit where the staff strength and facilities of the programmes were assessed before the grant of full accreditation to two postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Management Science and four undergraduate programmes in Faculty of Education namely: M.Sc. Accounting, M.Sc. Business Administration, B. Ed Guidance and Counselling, B. Ed Education Economics, B.Ed Education English and B.Ed Education Computer Science. The accreditation is valid for a period of five years after which the NUC shall revisit the programmes for quality control and re-accreditation purposes.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Timothy A. Adebayo, expressed joy while receiving the news of the accreditation. He promised that the University will do all within its capacity to ensure that the programmes maintain the high standard required to earn them accreditation from the National Universities Commission. He also congratulated the two faculties and their staff for working hard to earn the NUC full accreditation. He concluded that the University is ready to admit more prospective candidates with the expansion of the academic programmes through which the University now has over 44 fully accredited programmes.
