The Governing Council of Adamawa State University, Mubi on Thursday 22nd December, 2022 has approved the appointment of Dr. Stephen Lagu (DVC Administration) as the Acting Vice-chancellor with effect from 1st January, 2023 following the resignation of Prof. Kaletapwa George Farauta as the Vice-chancellor of the University.
This came after a meeting of the University Governing Council when outgoing Vice-chancellor Prof. Farauta tendered her resignation.
The Chairman of the University Governing Council Hon. Awwal Tukur who addressed our crew and explained that the Council arrived at appointing Dr. Lagu as Acting Vice-chancellor after accepting Prof. Farauta’s resignation.
He said Prof. Farauta had to quit as Vice-chancellor to assume affective campaign as the PDP, Deputy Governorship designate in the State.
The new acting Vice-chancellor hold a PhD in English for Specific Purpose and until his appointment he is the Deputy Vice-chancellor Administration of the University.
