The attention of Al-Qalam University Katsina has been drawn to a story trending on the social media about a purported bomb blast at the University on Friday, 21st January, 2022.The University wishes to dispel the story as unfortunate , unfounded, fake and misleading.What happened was that the tyre of a moving truck along Dutsinma Road busted around 8.30pm but mischief makers capitalised on the incident to spread the rumour about the bomb blast inside the University.
The University is calling on the general public to disregard the fake information and further wish to assure that the University is completely safe.
Investigation is now on with a view to fishing out the source of the fake information.
