A female student of the Auchi Polytechnic, Edo state, named Favour Oyhou has been arrested over the alleged murder of her boyfriend, 25-year-old Paul Handsome.
Favour is alleged to have stabbed her boyfriend during an argument that degenerated into a fight on Saturday, July 23, after she found out that Handsome was allegedly cheating on her. The deceased was then rushed to the hospital for medical care where he, unfortunately, died.
Following the news of his death, Favour was said to have gone into hiding until her subsequent arrest.
Confirming her arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Jennifer U. Iwegbu, said Favour was arrested on Monday, July 25th at about 10:45 pm and is to be arraigned in court.
