Members of a dreaded cult group are alleged to have beheaded a student of the Kwara State Polytechnic simply identified as Olawale in Ilorin, Kwara State capital on Tuesday, August 3.
It was gathered that the student who is also a phone repairer at the popular challenge phone market was ambushed by the cultists while he was on his way home.
His family became worried after he didn’t return home early and couldn’t be reached on phone. He was then reported missing at the police station and a search was launched to ascertain his whereabouts.
According to the aged mother of the deceased student, his severed head was later found in the morning around Unity roundabout in Ilorin after several hours of unsuccessful search. The remaining part of his body is yet to be not found.
The state police spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed the incident, saying efforts to arrest the perpetrators is ongoing.
