The newly established Federal College of Education (Technical), Isu in Ebonyi will commence academic activities in October 2021. The institution provost, Prof. Reuben Okechukwu, made the disclosure during a courtesy visit to Gov. David Umahi
According to a statement issued on Friday, July 23, in Abakiliki by Mr. Monday Uzor, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of the state, the provost was quoted to have promised that the college would institute a policy of responsibility, anchored on discipline and integrity, in line with its mandate.
He also stated that the college would develop and deliver access and quality education to the nation’s future leaders, and asked for the support of the state government to grow and develop the institution into the best centre for teacher education in Nigeria.
In response, Umahi, represented by his deputy, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, called on the Federal Government to take necessary steps for the effective take-off of the college.
