The Federal Ministry of Education has directed the immediate relocation of all the Federal Government Colleges (FGCs) located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja over the threat to the lives, security, and well-being of the students.
The schools were reportedly asked to vacate latest on Wednesday, July 27 and it is reported that some of the schools already sent messages to parents on Sunday, July 24, to pick up their children on Monday, July 25, unfailingly.
A parent who spoke to newsmen said they were directed to pick up their wards from school latest, Monday, July 25 and no explanation was given as to why.
There were unconfirmed reports of heavy shootings in Federal Government College in Kwali, Abuja, forcing parents to rush to the school to ascertain the safety of their children.
