The attention of the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Birnnin Kebbi, Prof. BB Shehu has been drawn to fake LinkedIn and Facebook accounts opened in his name by scammers bent on duping unsuspecting members of the public.
The Vice-Chancellor has, on several occasions, disowned these accounts but the scammers have been sending dubious messages to people. The accounts are fake. The Vice-Chancellor is not on either page. Please disregard the fraudsters.
The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, cautions the University community and the public against falling victim of these cybercriminals. Anyone engaging in whatever deal with the fraudulent elements does so at their own peril.
