Following the postponement of Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections by the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from 11th March 2023 to 18th March 2023 and the subsequent extension of the Ministerial directive on the closure of all Universities and Inter universities centers by one week, I write to inform you that the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of Senate has approved a reviews academic calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session.
The review the approved academic calendar is adjusted to incorporate the extension of the Ministerial Directive on the election break earlier scheduled to end on Tuesday 14th March 2023 to Monday 20th March 2023.
Therefore, the continuation of lectures for Stream II students has been rescheduled for tuesday 21st March 2023. Similarly, the resumption and commencement of the second semester academic activities earlier scheduled for 24th April 2023 is now rescheduled to resume and commence on 1st May 2023.
Hence the commencement of 2022/2023 academic session earlier slated for Monday 23rd October 2023 is now rescheduled for Monday 30th October 2023.
