The attention of Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has been drawn to the activities of some fraudsters who collect cash from unsuspecting persons promising to secure admission, contract and employment for them in the University.
The fraudsters use various social media platforms such as the Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, e.t.c., to attract attention of their victims and make them believe that for certain amounts, contracts, employment and admission to study can be secured in the University.
The reality is, however, far from that as there are well established procedures for admission into programmes of studies, award of contracts and offer of employment in the Federal University of Lafia that are strictly adhered to by the Management. Thus, only applicants who meet the requirements and are deemed to be qualified by the institution can secure admission, contracts and employment.
Fraudsters are, therefore, warned to desist from collecting cash from unsuspecting persons with fake promises to give them admission, contract and employment in the University as the University is working with the security agencies to identify and arrest those involved in such illegal activities.
The Management calls on members of the public to report activities of any suspicious persons or groups to the authorities.
Be Warned!
