The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke ,has approved the reversal of the school fees of Osun State Polytechnic Iree to the initial amount prior to July 2022 Governorship election.
It will be recalled that the tuition fees for fresh students was increased from N67,850 to N112,850 for students offering science related courses while those offering management related courses were asked to pay N97,300 from the initial N57,300.
The reversal was approved after the students union leadership of the institution called the attention of the Government to the increment and appealed for it to be reversed.
This was contained in a memo stating;
“RE: NOTIFICATION OF APPROVED FEES FOR 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION IN OSUN STATE POLYTECHNIC IREE
The above subject matter refers,
Further to your letter Reference Number OSPOL/BUR/101/VIV239 dated 13th December, 2022 on Notification of Approved Fees for 2022/2023 Academic Session, the Management of the institution slhould suspend the implementation of the new school fees regime because of the recent change in leadership of the state.”
