A lecturer with the Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola, Yohanna Mbudai Bzegu has been killed by gunmen suspected to be assassins in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Bzegu, who was a lecturer with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was shot dead in the early hours of Thursday, July 14, 2022, after the gunmen broke into his residence Bajabure, a satellite town on the outskirts of Yola.
The gunmen reportedly invaded his residence at about 3:00 am firing multiple shots into his chest and watched him until he die in front of his wife.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who confirmed the incident said the command has launched a manhunt for the killers.
