Gunmen suspected to be cultists have killed a 400-level Public Administration student at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), identified as Desmond Rukevwe Emuobonuvie aka Mayor.
The student who was a Kegite Chief (a socio-cultural group), was said to have been shot three times in the face on Monday night, April 3, 2023, in one of the school’s hostels, Hall 3
According to reports, there’s currently tension in the school as students fear for their safety and a possible reprisal attack.
