A 20-year-old student of Demonstration Secondary School Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Kyuni Jonathan Bala was shot at by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, and his sister abducted.
The incident was confirmed by the father of the victims, Salisu Mohammed Bala, on Wednesday, September 8. He said his 17-year-old daughter, Blessing Jonathan Bala was abducted during the operation which occurred on Monday, September 6.
Also confirming the abduction, the state police spokesperson, ASP Ramhan Nansel, said that the police are on the trail of the kidnappers.
The principal of Demonstration Secondary School, Mr. Elkahna Iwala, has sympathized with the family of the victims over the unfortunate incident and prayed for the quick recovery of his student.
