Recall that by the approved Academic Calendar of the University for the 2021/2022 session for both fresh and returning students began on Monday, November 29, 2021.
Recall also that the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Okechuku Onuchuku, on the assumption of Office, magnanimously reversed the school fees (charges) to the previous amount of the 2020/2021 session.
Furthermore, the Acting Vice-Chancellor introduced the installment mode of payment of fees, to accommodate those who are unable to pay all fees/charges at once.
By the directive of the Acting Vice Chancellor, all returning students were expected to pay at least the first instalment of the fees/charges for the 2021/2022 session, register at least the First Semester Courses before Friday, 11th February, 2022 or stand the risk of losing his or her studentship. Following the above, the University Administration has received several appeals from students and well-meaning Stakeholders for compassionate extension of the deadline for closure of the fees/charges payment portal.
In the light of the above, the University Administration in its usual magnanimity has approved the extension of the deadline for the payment of fees/charges portal for returning students only for two weeks, to end on Friday, 25th February 2022.
A determined surcharge shall be imposed after the new deadline. The portal for Fresh Students is, however, opened until further notice.
All Returning Students are please advised to utilize this window of grace to pay their fees/charges and register for the session to avoid unpleasant consequences.
Fresh students are also advised to duly pay all fees/charges and register before the new deadline which will be published soon.
By this notice, all Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments are to ensure compliance by students of the various Faculties and Departments.
