JABU Admission Screening form is out. Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) admission screening exercise into  forms for UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2022/2023 academic session are now on sale.

LATEST UPDATE: This is to inform Candidates who made Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) their institution of first choice in the 2022UTME are hereby informed that the screening exercise will hold as follows:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) various undergraduate programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session. Both UTME and Direct Entry candidates are welcome to apply.

JABU Admission Screening Requirements

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: UTME ADMISSION

Candidates wishing to apply for admission into the University must possess GCE, O/L, SSCE (WAEC), NECO, NABTEB or equivalent with minimum credit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at one or two sittings. Interested candidates who have already applied to JAMB for admission and wish to change their first choice University to Joseph Ayo Babalola University are required to:

1. Apply for change of institution through JAMB;
2. Obtain Joseph Ayo Babalola university Application Form;
3. Participate in the screening exercise.

“Awaiting result” candidates can also apply provided their results will be available by September of the year in which admission is required. Specific College/Departmental requirements are as indicated below.

1. COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES
A. B. Agric. With option in:
i) Agricultural Economics and Extension Services
ii) Animal Science and Production
iii) Crop Science and Production

B. B.Sc. Food Science and Technology
College Admission Requirements:
Five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent to include English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Economics. A pass in Physics is acceptable.

2. COLLEGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES
I) B. Arc. Architecture
II) B.Sc. Estate Management
College Admission Requirements:
a) For Architecture, Estate Management, Building and Quantity Surveying: 5 credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of the following: Geography, Fine Art, Economics, Technical Drawing, Building Construction, Biology and Agric Science.
b) For Urban and Regional Planning, and Geography: 5 Credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects.

3. COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES
I) B.A English
II) B.A History and International Studies
III) B.A Philosophy and Religious Studies
College Admission Requirements:
a) Five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE, NECO or equivalent in English Language and four other Arts and Social Science subjects.
b) For B.A. English, the other four subjects must include literature in English.
c) For B.A. History and International Studies, the four subjects must include Government or History.

4. COLLEGE OF NATURAL SCIENCES
I) B.Sc. Biochemistry
II) B.Sc. Computer Science
III) B.Sc. Microbiology
IV) B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
VI) B.Sc. Physics Electronics
College Admission Requirements:
a) For B. Sc. Biochemistry, five ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSCE or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
b) For B.Sc. Microbiology, Agricultural Science is acceptable in lieu of Biology.
c) For B.Sc. Computer Science: five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Geography.
e) For B.Sc. Physics Electronics, as in Computer Science.

5. COLLEGE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
I) B.Sc. Economics
II) B.Sc. International Relations
III) B.Sc. Mass Communication
IV) B.Sc. Political Science
College Admission Requirements:
a) For B.Sc. Economics: candidates must possess 5 ‘O’ Level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.
b) For B.Sc. Political Science: 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Government/History, and any other 3 subjects at least, a pass in Mathematics is required.
c) For B.Sc. Mass Communication, the 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes must include English Language and Literature in English. At least, a pass in Mathematics is required.

6. COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
i) B.Sc. Accounting
ii) B.Sc. Business Administration
iii) B.Sc. Entrepreneurship
iv) B.Sc. Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management

College Admission Requirements:
a) For B.Sc. Business Administration, insurance, Entrepreneurship and Accounting candidates must possess 5 ‘O’ Level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.

b) For B.Sc. Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management, 5 ‘O’ Level credit passes must include Mathematics and English Language.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

1. 5 relevant credit passes at WASC (SSCE), NECO or equivalent subjects listed under each programme, two of which must be at ‘A’ Level.
2. OND with upper Credit or NCE at Credit level in any institution recognized by the University.
3. Joseph Ayo Babalola University Diploma.
4. Diploma from any other recognized Universities.

About Joseph Ayo Babalola University

The existing site for Joseph Ayo Babalola Miracle Camp falls within the Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State. lkeji-Arakeji is one of the many small settlements on the fringe of the mountain ridges geographically referred to as Yoruba Hills which stretch from ljesa land in Osun state to Ekiti and Ondo land in Ekiti and Ondo States respectively. Incidentally, lkeji-Arakeji is on the lower land that stretches from the eastern side of the hills to Ondo state, It is strategically located on a regional context. Being on a main arterial Federal road, lkeji-Arakeji is about 20 minutes drive to Akure the Ondo state capital. It is also about 20 minutes drive to llesa, about 40 minutes to Osogbo the Osun state capital and about 90 minutes and less than 3 hours drive to lbadan and Lagos respectively. Other molar medium sized urban centers within the region are lgbara-Oke, llaramokin, Ondo, lle-OIuji, ldanre in Ondo State; Ogotun, lgbaraOdo and llawe in Ekiti State. Other towns are Erin ljesa, lpetu Ijesa, Osu and lIe-Ife in Osun state. Most of these settlements are less than 20 kilometres to Ikeji-Arakeji

The approach to the camp is only by llesa -. Akure Federal road. There is no existing rail service to that part of Osun territory. In fact, the nearest rail line to the site is at Osogbo the Osun State capital and of course none in the adjacent Ondo and Ekiti States. There is of course a local airport at Akure which was of some advantage to the Camp in the days of its use. The camp was planned with the old Akure – llesa road traversing across it. This defined the historical linear settlement planning in the western part of Nigeria.
