JAMB has disclosed that the federal government has approved the establishment of an Advanced Level (A-Level) certificate data bank in Nigeria. This was disclosed by the director of legal services of JAMB in Abuja recently at the opening of a 3-day workshop for public relations staff of the board.
This became necessary following the high level of malpractices discovered among the proprietors, lecturers and teachers of JUPEB and IJMB programmes. For example, in a particular university, 90percent of those who presented their A level results for admission were found to be fake,” he said.
According to him, this is one of the several measures taken to ensure total sanity in its examination and admission process.
The data bank will ensure all A-Level results are registered under one platform to bring about the needed standardisation and integrity of the certificates.
