The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the rescheduling of the 2023 Mock-UTME earlier slated for March 16, 2023, to March 30, 2023. This announcement was made by JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin in a statement.

Reason for the Date Change
The shift in date was due to the change in the date for the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly Elections, which was earlier scheduled for March 11, 2023, but has now been moved to March 18, 2023.
Mock-UTME Exam Details
The Mock-UTME is an optional examination introduced by the Board to provide candidates with hands-on experience with the system. It also affords the Board an opportunity to ascertain its readiness and that of its partners for the main UTME, which is scheduled to hold between April 29 and May 12, 2023.
Notification for Candidates
Candidates who registered early and indicated their willingness to take the Mock-UTME will be notified as to when to print their Mock-UTME notification slip, which will contain their centres and other details.
Groundbreaking Innovations
The Board also announced that this year’s UTME would witness some groundbreaking innovations aimed at addressing observed infractions and centre failures. The innovations include the cancellation of any session that experiences a delay of up to one hour before commencement, no examination starting one hour after the scheduled commencement time, and notification of candidates’ new scheduled session or centre if there is a cancellation.
Candidates are also expected to spend no less than one hour before submitting their responses during the UTME, and login will be impossible after one hour of activation of the examination.
Rescheduled Exam Details
If, for any reason, an examination session is cancelled or cannot hold, candidates are not to panic, as they will simply be scheduled for the next available session, which could be on the same day. However, any rescheduled examination is strictly meant to accommodate only those whose examination session could not hold on account of one reason or another, not for those who were marked LATE or ABSENT for their session.
Candidates are to note that they are not to leave the examination centre until they have been notified of the day and time of their rescheduled examination.
