KADPOLY Post UTME Screening, Eligibility and Registration Details, 2021/2022

Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY) Post UTME Screening has been announced for the 2021/2022 session. The Post-UTME registration, cut-off mark, eligibility, application cost and other relevant details for the 2021/2022 academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 120 for ND  programmes, 180 For B.Tech (Ed) Programmes (In Affiliation with FUTMINNA), 180 For B.Sc and B.Eng Programmes (In Affiliation with ABU, Zaria). Application cost is ₦2,000. KADPOLY Post UTME Screening Invitation

This is to inform all candidates who applied for National Diploma (ND), NCE and B.Ed (Tech)/B.Sc Programmes in the 2021 JAMB admission and chose Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY) as FIRST CHOICE with the following UTME scores, are hereby requested to pay and register for the POST UTME screening exercise.

(i) 120 and above for ND Programmes

(ii) 100 and above for NCE Programmes

(iii) 180 and above for B.Ed (Tech) and NCE at Merit Level for Direct Entry (200 level) programmes in affiliation with Federal University of Technology, Minna

(iv) 180 and above for B.Sc (100 level) and ND at Upper Credit Level for Direct Entry (200 level) in affiliation with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in either Architecture, Building, Urban/Regional Planning, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• Such candidates must have indicated Kaduna Polytechnic as their First Choice Institution
• Candidates that indicated interests in Kaduna Polytechnic as their 2nd Choice and 3rd Choice are advised to change to First Choice.

Only candidates that participate in the Screening Exercise will be considered for admission into Kaduna Polytechnic.

The Screening Exercise commences on 14th February – 21st March, 2022.

Candidates who applied for admission are STRONGLY advised to upload their SSSCE/NECO/NABTEB results to JAMB website (CAPS) Centre. Failure to do so would deny candidates admission.

About Kaduna Poly

The idea to start a Technical Institution in Northern Nigeria started as far back as 1951, which resulted into the establishment of Kaduna Technical Institute in 1956. The establishment of Technical Institute, Kaduna was as a result of the acceptance by the British Government on the recommendation of the Higher Education Commission, which suggested the upgrading of Yaba Higher College to Technical Institute and proposed Technical Institutes in Kaduna and Enugu.

The Northern Nigeria Executive Council by at meeting of 17th August, 1962, Conclusion No.1, re-designated the Technical Institute, Kaduna as the Polytechnic, Kaduna. It became Kaduna Polytechnic in 1968 by the Federal Government Decree No. 20 of 1968, which was revised in 1979 by Decree .No. 79. In 1991, the institution was taken over by the Federal Government under Decree No. 40 of the same year.

The institution was established with the objective of providing diverse instruction, training and research in technology, the sciences, commerce, the humanities and programmes of in-service instruction for members of the public service in Nigeria. In 1968, it amalgamated two training centres, namely; the College of Science and Technology and Staff Development Centre, with Survey Unit joining later. These formed the nucleus of its four- college structure then.

Kaduna Polytechnic outside the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, is known to be the biggest higher institution in Nigeria. For the avoidance of doubt, the comparison includes all other polytechnics, universities, colleges of education and other centres of higher educational pursuits in the country. It is also rated as the largest technical institution in Africa. It is a large institution in physical size and numerical strength of students and staff population and in the number of programmes it runs. It is a polytechnic built on four campuses, each campus is as big as many higher institutions in the country.
