The College Community will recall that on Sunday, 20/03/2022, there was an attack on Agban, Mararaban Kagoro and Tsonje by bandits. This attack made the Kagoro/Gidan-waya road very dangerous to travel.
2. Following the attack, the Kaduna State Government, in a bit to forestall further breakdown of law and order, imposed a 24 hour curfew on Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas. The 24 hour curfew has so far been relaxed to 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
3. These events have directly affected our calendar of events considering the fact that exams were scheduled to commence on Monday, 28/03/2022; more so that over 95 percent of our workforce travel to and from Gidan-waya daily.
4. In view thereof, I am directed to inform you that the commencement date of the exams will be deliberated upon by the Academic Board by Monday 28th March, 2022, and a new date would be announced thereafter. This will enable the relevant organs of the College in collaboration with security agencies to work out modalities for the safety of both staff and students for the smooth running of academic activities.
5. Kindly note that, as had earlier been advised, we are all expected to be vigilant if we must ply the Kagoro/Gidan-waya road.
Thank you and stay safe.
