A female secondary school teacher in Kogi state reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday, October 5 due to depression caused by the lack of money to take care of her children.
According to a Facebook user, Citizen Nagaziman who shared the story on the social media platform, the teacher identified as Mrs. Yusuf Bosede Khadija, reportedly took her life by jumping into well, a few days ago at Okuhapa in Obangede, Okehi Local Government Area of the state.
The Facebook user further condemned the Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, for celebrating teachers’ day while teachers and other local government workers in the state are starving to death.
