The Vice Chancellor of the Kogi State University, Anyigba, Prof. Marietu Tenuche, has been dragged to the Kogi State High Court by the Alumni Association of the institution over the alleged diversion of N31 million meant for the association.
The association, in a motion filed at the court, asked the court to restrain the university from holding any council meeting without the inclusion of the alumni pending the hearing and determination of the substantive matter before the court.
The motion also sought an order restraining the university from unlawfully withdrawing monies from all the banks used in the collections of the alumni fund.
The association alleged that over N31 million have been diverted for other purposes from the alumni fund under the supervision of the vice-chancellor.
